Zirconia hollow ball bricks

Zirconia hollow ball brick is a shaped refractory product made of zirconia hollow ball and zirconia powder as the main raw materials, fired at high temperature after moulding, and the main crystal phase is cubic phase (c-ZrO2).

Classification:

Zirconia hollow ball brick is a shaped refractory product made of zirconia hollow ball and zirconia powder as the main raw materials, fired at high temperature after moulding, and the main crystal phase is cubic phase (c-ZrO2). Here's a closer look at it:

1. Performance characteristics of zirconia hollow ball bricks:
High temperature resistance: It has high refractoriness, the maximum use temperature can reach about 2500 °C, and can maintain stable performance in extremely high temperature environments, suitable for ultra-high temperature equipment.
Resistant to acid and alkali attack: It has good resistance to acids, alkalis and other chemicals, and performs well in some corrosive working environments.
Good thermal insulation performance: the hollow ball structure makes it have a low thermal conductivity, which can effectively reduce the transfer of heat, play a good role in thermal insulation, help to improve the thermal efficiency of the kiln, shorten the production cycle, and reduce energy consumption.
Strong thermal stability: in the case of rapid temperature changes, it can still maintain good structural stability, and is not easy to crack or damage due to thermal expansion and contraction.
Small bulk density: The structure of the hollow ball makes the bulk density of the brick body relatively small and lightweight, which is easy to handle and install, and also reduces the load-bearing burden of kilns and other equipment.

2. Zirconia hollow ball brick production process:
First, zirconia is used as raw material, calcium oxide or yttrium oxide is added as a stabiliser, and these substances are evenly mixed and melted into a melt by arc method.
Zirconia hollow balls are then made by means of compressed air injection.
Finally, zirconia hollow balls are used as raw materials, and after moulding, drying and other processes, they are fired into zirconia hollow ball bricks at a high temperature of about 1780 °C.

3. Zirconia hollow ball brick application range: widely used in non-metallic materials industry, petrochemical industry, steel smelting, electronics industry and other fields. For example, in the metallurgical industry, it can be used for silicon steel heating furnace lining; In the petrochemical industry, it can be used as a heat insulation lining for high-temperature devices such as hydrogen production furnaces and gasifiers; In the electronics industry, it can be used for cemented carbide intermediate frequency furnace insulation lining, etc.
