Clay insulating refractory bricks


Clay insulating brick is a heat-insulating refractory product made of refractory clay as the main raw material with an Al2O3 content of 30%~48%. The Chinese standard (GB3994-1983) divides clay insulating bricks into NG-1.5, NG-1.3a, NG-1.3b, NG-1.0, NG-0.9, NG-0.8, NG-0.7, NG-0.6, NG-0.5 and NG-0.4 according to the bulk density.

Clay insulating brick is a heat-insulating refractory product made of refractory clay as the main raw material with an Al2O3 content of 30%~48%. The production process adopts the burnout addition method and the foam method. Refractory clay, drifting beads, refractory clay clinker as the original department, mixed with binder and sawdust, batching, mixing, molding, drying, firing, to obtain a product with a bulk density of 0.3~1.5g/cm3. The output of clay insulating bricks accounts for more than half of the total production of insulating refractory bricks. 
The Chinese standard (GB3994-2013) divides clay insulation bricks into seven grades: NG140-1.5, NG135-1.3, NG135-1.2, NG130-1.0, NG25-0.8, NG120-0.6 and NG115-0.5. 
Clay insulating bricks are used in a wide range of applications, mostly in thermal equipment and industrial furnaces. It can be used for parts without strong erosion and erosion of high-temperature molten materials, and some surfaces in direct contact with the flame are coated with a layer of refractory coating to reduce the erosion of slag and furnace gas smoke and dust, and reduce damage. The operating temperature of the product does not exceed the test temperature of the change of the re-soldering line.
