High-alumina anchor bricks

High-alumina anchor brick is a special shape of high-alumina refractory brick, which is mainly used for installation on the steel structure of the industrial kiln shell or supporting the furnace lining, and is buried in the refractory lining for anchoring and connection.

Classification:

High-alumina anchor brick is a special shape of high-alumina refractory brick, which is mainly used for installation on the steel structure of the industrial kiln shell or supporting the furnace lining, and is buried in the refractory lining for anchoring and connection. Here are some of the key properties and uses of high-alumina anchor bricks:

1. High refractoriness: The refractory degree of high-alumina bricks is higher than that of clay bricks and semi-silica bricks, reaching 1750~1790 °C, which is a high-grade refractory material.
2. High load softening temperature: because of the high content of Al2O3 in high-aluminum products, less impurities, and less fusible glass body, the load softening temperature is higher than that of clay bricks, generally above 1420-1550 °C.
3. Good slag resistance: the content of Al2O3 in high-alumina bricks is large, which is close to neutral materials, and can resist the erosion of acid slag and alkaline slag, but the ability to resist alkaline slag is weaker than that of acid slag.
4. Good thermal stability: the thermal shock resistance of high-alumina bricks is worse than that of clay bricks, which is closely related to the mineral composition of the material.

High-alumina anchor bricks are mainly used for masonry blast furnaces, hot blast furnaces, electric furnace roofs, blast furnaces, reverberatory furnaces, and rotary kiln linings. In addition, high-alumina bricks are also widely used as open-hearth regenerative lattice bricks, plug heads for pouring systems, nozzle bricks, etc.

High-alumina anchor bricks are divided into three grades: LM-55, LM-65 and LM-75 according to their physical and chemical indicators, of which L and M are the initials of "aluminum" and "anchor" in Chinese pinyin, and the Arabic numerals followed by the mass percentage of aluminum oxide.

These properties make high-alumina anchor bricks important in high-temperature industrial applications, especially where direct contact with the flame is required.
